Can't add Verizon FIOS?

I saw that my TVE feed from VZ FIOS was only showing 63 channels, the rest saying some variation of "authentication failed". I tried re-entering the password in Channels, re-scanning the channels, etc. but still only got 63 channels.

I deleted the FIOS source and tried to re-add it, but when I authenticate, I get a "This page isn't available" error.

I tried the troubleshooting step of playing NBC live, and get the same thing.

I'm not using a VPN. I emailed that address, and got an auto-reply that the inbox isn't monitored and I need to call to open a service ticket.

Are other people seeing this? Is the call and service ticket the way to go?

After seeing your post, I tried to access my Fios channels and a bunch of them came up as not authenticated or lost tuner. I also happened to see a message on the Fios forum regarding authentication and VPN, so maybe it is a Verizon issue?

Thanks for the link to the VZ site.

I have two Primes with cable cards that still work, so I’m not out of luck yet.

I’ll report back if I find anything out.

I went back to Watch the NBC Live Stream - NBC.com to try re-authenticating, I clicked the "FIOS" tile, a VZ page loaded and went away, and the NBC page said "TV Provider Linked!" (The exclamation point is NBC's, not mine.)

I re-added the FIOS account to TVE on Channels, and it apparently authenticated OK and is scanning channels.

Two minutes later…

FIOS is now showing 110 channels in the lineup, although Hallmark is not among them.

It looks like this was a VZ issue?

That VZ forum post doesn't have anything new.

Hallmark is DRM so it won’t show on Channels.

Any luck? I still can't add fios to tve

I was having problems with Verizon Fios TVE. The fix for me was to completely remove the source, and setting it up again. It asked for my credentials and loaded perfectly. It also kept my favorites.

As I posted above, I was able to authenticate with VZ, so it looked like a VZ problem.

Are you getting that error page?

Have you tried removing it as a source and then adding it back?

I removed all of my sources to start from scratch. No go. Sounds like a "me" problem now. Not sure how to troubleshoot this. Used to work fine :frowning:

Inputting the wrong account info (random password) then the correct info seemed to fix it

Wait, what's the fix for this?

For me, the fix was wait a day or two and try again.
