Ok I know I'm missing something simple here. I can authorize xfinity fine on windows 10 running channels but not on my DS218. If I set it up in windows and authorize then back it up then reinstall on the DS218 using the backup everything works fine until it needs reauthorization. Authenticating times out on the DS218 even under edit and rescan channel. I can start the windows server and authorize any channel fine. Any ideas I dont want to keep reinstalling it every couple weeks. Thanks.
Is your NAS able to access the internet without issue? Have you tried removing and re-adding the TVR source while the server is running on the NAS? I didn’t even realize authorizations could be restored with a backup.
NAS has no problems with anything else on the internet it has been running channels for over a year. I connect quite a bit remotely with no issues. I could never get it to set up TVE though it always times out on authenticating. So I installed channels on a windows 10 box set up xfinity and locast. It went smoothly every thing authorized on the first try. So I did a backup and reinstalled on the NAS from that backup about 3 weeks ago. All worked great until now. I get the error chrome timeout. So I started the win 10 server up and can authorize and watch TVE from there but not on the DS218. I know I'm missing something. Do I need to install chrome on the NAS.
