Can't connect to server

Lately, maybe since the last update to Version 2022.03.23.0209 ???, I just noticed that update.
I have had trouble with connecting to the server from my clients, Firestick 4K, Android TV Onn UHD box.
The grid is empty, no channel names or logos, nothing in program Descriptions in the grid,
Also gets the message can't connect to server, I get to At Home and usually enter the IP address which has not changed.
I did not enter the IP address just now, instead
I just noticed when I went to my Win 11 laptop and changed Power options to Never Sleep the grid popped up, populated as normal, but only HDHR channels play, when I select a TVE channel I get
Tuner Unreachable, or "Get http ...TVE-Cox etc etc... no route to host"
I have had Channels DVR for nearly 2 months and never had the Power Options set to Never Sleep.
And I never had all these connection issues at all.


OK, I just went and disabled Bonjour and re-enabled, Bang! now all channels play !!!
That is the very first time I touched Bonjour.
It never used to do this, it was very stable, my lovely wife is getting upset with this, almost every time she starts her bathroom tv she has to get me to get it working.
Has something changed maybe in the last update??

What version is shown on the TV device under Channels > Settings > Support > About

Next time it happens, click Settings > Support > Submit Diagnostics > Video Player from the app

And I am changing Power options back to Sleep after 15 minutes so it is like it used to be OK??

The DVR has to run on an always-on machine. If the DVR is sleeping and your wife tries to watch TV, it won't work.

AFAIK there is no way it could have been working in that scenario in the past.

Another thing I would recommend is to setup static DHCP addresses on your router for your PC, so the IP of your PC doesn't keep changing.

Well I have read the bit about not sleeping or else Recordings won't or may not work but I assure you I just had changed it to Never Sleep and it was on 15 minutes and all was fine for the last almost two months !!! And Recordings always worked fine.
I will change it back to Never Sleep.
And my laptop IP address has never changed in the last two months.
Not to mention even if it does change aren't the clients supposed to "Find" the server via Bonjour automatically without me even knowing??

I never turn the laptop server machine OFF, SHUT DOWN.
But it has been going to Sleep, different somehow.

Also I will mention I was running a pre-release version 2022.02.24.0145
up until the latest update, as far as I know, unless there was an stable update since 2022.02.09.0020.
I updated to that pre-release because of problems related to Discovery channels or not populating TVE, can't remember for sure.

UPDATE:
Since I changed power options on my Win 11 to Never Sleep,
I have not had any problems.
So, it seems you were correct sir.
I also discovered that the "No route to Host" error may stem from my device losing it's internet connection.
Always check that fist.
