Problem:
- I can't stream live channels or recorded shows from to my Apple TV 4K
- I can't stream live channels or recorded shows internally on Wifi from browser (minor issue to me, but pointing it out in case it's related)
Setup:
- DVR "Server" is hardwired, Gig Ethernet, NetGear switch, static IP
OS: windows Microsoft Windows 10 Pro N 10.0.18362 Build 18362
CPU: 4 cores / Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 15.90 GB / 51.0% free
Disk: 34.0% used - HDHomeRun is hardwared same switch, IP DHCP reserved
- Apple TV is hardwared GigE to the same switch, IP DHCP reserved
Troubleshooting steps:
- I've rebooted everything
- ChannelsDVR is version 2019.08.15.2304 and is up to date.
- Force killed the Channels App on AppleTV and started it again
- Reconnected the DVR in AppleTV
- Flipped Bonjour off/on
Note: If I load the mpg recording on my ChannelsDVR machine, they load up fine in VLC.
Things that work:
- I can stream live and watch recordings on my iPhone (wifi of course).
- I can use the HDHomeRun Windows App on Wifi for live streaming
