Running 202.26.51 and trying to update to latest (if it isn't already). I don't see how to do it. I have under beta testing Update Channels DVR Beta. If I try that, it says app not installed (I don't have the DVR installed locally). Where is the Android App update?
What device? Please post a photo of the error.

The only choices I see in settings are:
Install Channels DVR
Update Channels DVR
I don't see a choice to update the Channels Android App (only the DVR). I don't have the DVR installed. I reflexively updated channels DVR and got an error that said Channels DVR is not installed (that's when it dawned on my the choice was for the DVR - which I don't have installed on this chromecast - not the Android app). Am I incorrect in my interpretation? Where is the update for the beta for the Android app?
I just submitted diagnostics (I don't know if that will help) I am also running into Channels seizing up while watching live.

If you are trying to update the Beta Client from the Beta Client App, then you may need to fix the security to allow install from unknown sources. Go to Settings, Apps, Security&Restrictions, allow Beta Channels DVR to install unknown apps. Then you should be able to update the Beta Channels DVR to the current version using the Beta Channels DVR app.
Since you must have installed the Beta app from the released client, I believe you could also use it to update the Beta app.
I've had the beta client on this (and all) my android tv devices (TS4K & CCwGTV) for at least a year and have updated it without problems. Android shows the beta in the install from unknown sources list. This device also has the regular (non-beta) android app installed (without install from unknown sources) as I run the beta against a server in the US and the regular against a server I keep in Italy.
My problem is there is no selection for "Update Android Beta" in the menus where there used to be one. I am going to check the other CCgTVs (2) I am running in the Italy house to see if they have the same problem.
Update Channels DVR Beta is the correct option to update the Android client. It is working fine for me. Maybe you could reinstall the beta from the released version if you allow it to install from unknown sources. Sorry I guess I can't really help you.
Correction - the device I am having problems with is a TS4K. I just updated one of my CCwGTVs using the "Update Channels DVR Beta" and it worked fine. It's the TS4K that fails.
Have you checked to see if you have enough memory storage to install the app?
