I moved locations to Arizona and now have Starlink instead of the fiber internet, I am unable to automatically route access for remote use. I cannot find anywhere where i can manually update my port forwarding?
I think starlink is cgnat.. look into tailscale for remote access. Once set up it is fantastic with channels.
tailscale requires me to get on my computer attach a monitor and download and configure. very frustrating, annoying and extra. I do not want to do this
Tailscale is built into Channels DVR just enable it on the Channels DVR Web Server.
As others said in this thread, for remote access on cgnat connections, you'll need to use tailscale for that. I would recommend using the normal tailscale tool over the one built into channels as that'll give you more upload bandwidth to share.
On linux, installing tailscale is just a simple command line argument and then login and then done. On windows, you can use choco to install and its about the same thing.
I turned it on and downloaded it on my channels dvr workstation, still not working and its asking me to do subnet and all this other garbage and quite honestly the EXACT REASON I DONT WANNA F WITH TAILSCALE. ive downloaded this random bs and now its not working and i got extra junk on my stand alone server thats potentially f-ing up my program. I pay for this i dont pay for several workarounds.
Learn how to use it before complaining that attitude you will get no help ... bye.
I did simple command logged in but it won’t forward literally says cannot forward
I didn’t want to use it anyway but now I’m paying for a bunk service bc I was told it doesn’t work on my internet its BS
Like @edwin_perez told you, LEARN how to use tailscale. This is not chinese algebra. You can start here if you like

The energy you put in to frustrating your self greatly exceeds the energy needed to follow the simple onscreen instructions.
If you can't calm down, then talk to your medical provider about your issues.
