So last night two cbs show did not record. Is there something I should look for in the log. I have both show set up with a pass. Just don’t want this to happen again.
By any chance is your CBS affiliate WCAX (Vermont/Upstate NY/New Hampshire)? If so, they changed frequencies yesterday mid-day. I had to force a rescan of my HDHR Connect. Channels started giving me "Playback Failed" when trying to watch it live after the frequency switch but before the rescan.
Nope I am Florida, the channel shows up on the guide. Channels just did not record the show. I looked at the log around the time the show was to start but nothing.
I had a season pass not record (CBS) last night. I noticed in the guide that the show was not marked in red so I checked the season pass config and it was correct but it wasn't recording. I had to select record on the show and then it recorded.
Are you using an HDHOMERUN tuner and TV Anywhere? Trying to a find common issue or if it was a fluke...

What does it show on the Schedule of the dvr web UI? Are those recordings there and do they show "failed"?
I checked my web ui and the show are not there. Nothing says failed. Is there a different spot I check previous recordings?
Sounds like the show was never scheduled? Did you see it on the schedule before?
Open http://x.x.x.x:8089/log?n=10000 on your NAS and then file>save and email to [email protected] along with the name and time of show that didn't record.

and since a bunch of stations disappeared, many scheduled jobs were removed:

On 10/24 the morning guide download still only got 6 stations, so the jobs were not rescheduled:

Did you run channel scans manually on 10/22 and today? If not, perhaps you were affected by the auto channel scan the HDHR does in the background, and there was either an antenna blip or a channel re-pack in your area.
I did not rescan my HDHR. Cbs is one of the strong channels around here. So all the show that show "Deleting job with expired serial" that means the job would have not be recorded? Is there anyway to keep this from happening again.
Yes. Some of them probably got rescheduled today. Usually you only see "expired serial" when an episode is rescheduled to a different time, but in this case it also happened for removed channels.
If CBS is strong my only guess is the antenna is not attached securely or is moving around for some reason.
I'd recommend turning on the diagnostics checkbox on my.hdhomerun.com under your HDHR so SiliconDust has some data to look at in-case this happens again.
