Change OTA channel number

This is not a huge issue but one that has always bothered me. I get NBC from a local translator which displays as channel 4.10 in the guide. The primary channel for them is 4.1, but I cant get that signal.

I use a remote with a numeric keypad and all I have to do for OTA stations is hit the first digit, like 2 and it will tune to 2.1. But this does not work for 4.10, press 4 and I get nothing.

I know that I can use a custom source and map 4.10 to 4.1 but this forces the HDHR to go through the Channels DVR and use tuner sharing which I would rather not do.

Is there any other way to just tell Channels DVR that 4.10 is the same as 4.1?

No. Because 4.1 and 4.10 are not the same thing.

There’s no capacity for changing channel numbers in Channels.

would running the HDHR though Threadfin first then renumbering it there help at all? or, does that still hit your custom source problem?

Im not familiar with that software.

It’s a fork of Xteve. I use it as a “pre filter” of my custom sources before exposing to Channels.

Might be worth a shot - relatively easy to setup.
