I want to try running the server on a different computer than I am now. Can I just copy my DVR folder over to the new server and everything work or will I need to start from scratch and set up my shows again? Will the current recorded shows moved still play or are they protected? Thanks.
You can copy over the entire DVR folder to the new computer. Then install the DVR, and visit http://127.0.0.1:8089/restore instead of setting it up new.
Make sure you stop/uninstall the DVR from the old computer too.
