I initially set the recording location up to the internal HD on my Mac Mini, but would like to change it to an external drive I just purchased. If I just copy the files from the old location to the new location will Channels see the previously recorded content? If not, is there a way to do this so that the previous recordings are shown within the Channels app?
Yes you can copy all the files and update the path on the DVR settings page.
Can Time Capsule be used for DVR?
It can not.
Where is the DVR settings page? I do not have these options. I click on them an nothing.
It’s on the computer or NAS where you installed the DVR.
So I have the settings now. It looks like it just took time to get there. The problem I have now is when I launch from the iCloud Mirror app I get:
“An error has occured”
“The redirect uri included is not valid”
Trying a reset of the NAS and uninstall of app. It wont uninstall.
@badgerfan2002 Were you able to get the DVR working? The “redirect uri” error was fixed in a DVR update a few weeks ago.
Yes. I had to put the NAS in static. Every so often the AppleTV units drop the ability to see recorded shows. I think its because I have only one HDHomerun. May need to order a second one.
BTW… Tried out Plex. What a pain. Yours is far more user friendly.
