Channel Collections showing wrong channel

I have two sources, HDhomerun and a curated list of channels in an M3U file. I have set the IPTV list to ignore channel numbers in the file and start at 7000.

When I create a Channel Collection I can see the channel to add in the drop down however the channel added is showing the original channel id and is then matching a channel from the HDhomerun and not the IPTV. For example channel 7014 when added shows as Film4 (14).

If I turn off the HDhomerun source the channels add correctly, but then when I re-enable the source they're incorrect.

Does this sound like some sort of corruption? Anyone else had this issue and any suggestions on how I fix it?
Thanks

This can happen if your m3u doesn't have unique/stable channel-id entries so the collection can keep track

Thanks for the reply. In this instance my m3u file has ID's starting at 1, which looks like it overlaps with HDHomeRun hence I figured the ignore channels ID's should ignore the numbers in the m3u and apply the starting point (for me 7000).

Given that if I browser the channel list it shows the newly assigned (7000+) number shouldn't it now be ignoring the ID from the m3u?
Thanks

Just to add, I've noticed that the service I'm using for EPG is adding in two fields which are related to channel numbering, 'tvg-chno=' and 'channel-id='. When reassigning numbers does Channels change the number for both of these fields? Could this be the reason why Channel Collections is picking the wrong channel?
