JUST installed channels DVR and am using the AppleTV app with it.
everything went well so far with the exception of my on screen guide. Current shows are not listed. It’s blank until a couple hours from now, then it’s all complete. Also the “on now” just shows channel name, no shows.
On my windows computer, in the dvr section for guide, it shows complete.
Is there a way to "refresh’ the guide?
any help appreciated. I’m a nube, and not very computer savvy.
Restart the Channels app by clicking TV/Home twice and swiping up
tried already. also restarted appletv as well. is doing same thing on both appletv 4th gen and appletv 4k
Check to make sure the clock on your windows machine is set correctly.
On the DVR web page on your computer, what does it say under your hdhomerun? What kind of hdhomerun is it?
windows clock says correct current time.
Just checked guide again, and is still missing current shows, and shows TV that starts in 1-2hours

i do not see any errors.
Just noticed that in the DVR scheduled section on my computer, that the shows times are messed up as well. A show I have set to record tonight at 9pm says its scheduled on the computer at 6pm.
not sure if it’s related or not, but the msg you recently posted to me here says it was 4 hours ago. (most likely sent in the last hour)
ok…i just checked the time again on windows computer. was correct time, but wrong timezone. I fixed that, and now scheduled recordings and msg timestamp are correct.
I refreshed the guide with the refresh icon next to my “DVR USA ota”
and closed out of app on TV and also restarted apple tv.
still no luck. guide missing up to 3 hours, and no “on now”
Now that the clock is fixed it should start working. Try going to settings tab of the app, click and hold your hdhomerun and click Refresh
still no luck. to refresh guide data am i correct in clicking the refresh logo next to my “dvr” under where my tuner is?
I reset app, and appletv and windows comp.
Since I just started this whole channels DVR process recently, should i just delete the program from my PC, and reinstall for a fresh start?
or reinstall app on appletv?
If you’re seeing guide data on the DVR web ui under On Now and Guide then it seems the DVR side is working fine.
Maybe try restarting the DVR server just in case. Use the system tray icon to exit, then use start menu to run “Channele DVR” again
Also check to make sure the clock on the Apple TV is correct.
clock on appletv is correct, set with location as well.
web ui guide is same as tv, missing current time shows. on now shows nothing says guide data is still downloading. It used to show the shows, and now doesn’t.
I’m not sure why it would show that. on initial setup, it was done in less than 1 min. now has been an hour.
Okay go ahead and reinstall. Just run the setup utility again and it will let you uninstall.
did a reinstall. guide and such as it should be now! I’m guessing that with my original issue of having the timezone set wrong, it REALLY messed it up, and was confused.
