Channel Logos not showing on Apple TV

Channel logos on my Apple TV app have disappeared from the guide. They show up fine in the web guide but not on my Apple TV.

They were showing fine until a few days ago.

I have the exact same issue. Not sure when it started though as I have only just gone back to using Apple TVs this week. Not found a solution yet.

It almost absolutely has to do with the fact that both of you are using third party sources via Custom Channels.

Check what their URLs look like and make sure they're routable. If they're using internal IPs because you're using middleware, then it's likely that your Apple TV cannot reach them.

When logos don't load in Channels, always check their URLs.

I will check them tomorrow however this doesn’t make sense as they load fine on my android TVs

All my logos are hosted on my local network and can be accessed from the Apple TV using other apps. The logos also show in the web browser and on my android TV devices. It's just the Apple TVs where the logos do not work.

Been running with custom sources for a while now and never had an issue with channel logos before.

What is different, I updated my hardware that channels ran on. Went from a Linux VM to a Windows 11 install. Logos worked fine after inial install and looked to be fine for a while then stopped showing in the guide on the Apple TV. Could not find a way to restore them.

I ended up putting proxmox on my new hardware and moved my Channels install to a Linux VM. Logos are now showing again on Apple TV. Running the same custom source config and guide providor.

Although not Apple TV, I'm having a similar issue with my Nvidia Shield and Pixel phone. I can see the logos within the web interface, but not the apps.

An example is below. The logo pulls up on the web, but not the apps. Is this what you're talking about how the web can pull from this address, but the apps cant?

That would be because it's an SVG, which a browser can render, but the Channels app will not.

I have got mine working now, I use Dispatcharr behind ChannelsDVR and they had changed something relating to Logos - Once I turned off the new feature "cached logos" - The logos started working again on Apple TV.
