Channel order with TVE & HDHR Prime (Fios)

I recently rebuilt my docker holding Channels DVR and used the TVE version. I added the Verizon TVE account and things were ok until I noticed that my guide was messed up.

Unless I have the guide showing favorites, I seem to be missing channels. For example... Channel 4 (NBC) and 5 (FOX) in the NYC market... they will not show on 'All Channels' or on 'HD' , but they will show on 'Favorites' because I have them listed as favorites.

Does Channels not show them as 4 & 5 because it is pulling a TVE feed and only listing them up in the 6000's? Is there a way to adjust where those channels appear?

Correct. You need to adjust the tuner priority in your client. If the Prime has priority, its channels will be the ones displayed in the guide, and any duplicates in a TVE source will be merged with the Prime's channels. (What is happening in your case is the reverse: all of the TVE channels are listed, and any duplicates from the Prime are not listed, but instead merged into the TVE channel number.)

So under Basic Setup / Sources, the Prime should be listed above the Verizon TVE, correct? Or is there another place? that I am missing?

Correct, that's not the right place. You're looking at the DVR priority list. That is solely for recording purposes.

Each client maintains its own list of tuner priorities for viewing live content. Check in your client app for something under Settings > Manage Sources > Adjust source priority or similar (it may differ based upon your client).

Found it... Thank you for your help!

It could be nice feature if the DVR could push out settings to the clients, I didn't even think about checking the local settings.

This is indeed a feature being worked on presently by the developers. Apple client apps have always had their own favorites and priorities; the DVR favorites are shared between Android clients and the tuners; priorities are local to the device/server. A new/current beta for Android brings the situation on par with the Apple clients—with the added benefit to selectively send/receive the favorite list between the DVR/tuners and the clients.

Later, a more robust syncing option will be available. But, it's only in its nascent stages at the moment.
