Channel Ovation will not work

What does this mean? Can't get the channel Ovation to stream.

2023/05/01 11:39:42.965030 [ERR] Could not start stream for TVE-Spectrum ch6093 OVATION: TVE: Could not fetch playlist: vcnovation.teleosmedia.com: get https://vcnovation.teleosmedia.com/stream/ovation/ovationtv/playlist.m3u8: 504 Gateway Timeout

Channels DVR server is just reporting the problem with Ovation

$ curl -i https://vcnovation.teleosmedia.com/stream/ovation/ovationtv/playlist.m3u8

Fixed in prerelease.

Ok I did the pre release update and it still says 2023/05/01 15:01:30.404992 [ERR] Failed to start stream for ch6093: TVE: Could not fetch playlist: vcnovation.teleosmedia.com: get https://vcnovation.teleosmedia.com/stream/ovation/ovationtv/playlist.m3u8: 504 Gateway Timeout

I think @tmm1 response was not intended for this thread

Actually, it was. See this:

While Ovation's stream in now working, Gracenote does not have the correct guide information for it. Ovation's website lists the correct programming, but Gracenote fed services do not. (For example, Channels, Zap2It, and DirecTV all list Midsomer Murders as currently airing, when it is Republic of Doyle.)

I still can't get it to play 2023/05/02 19:30:14.266037 [ERR] Failed to start stream for ch6093: TVE: Could not fetch playlist: vcnovation.teleosmedia.com: get https://vcnovation.teleosmedia.com/stream/ovation/ovationtv/playlist.m3u8: 504 Gateway Timeout

While the feed for Ovation works now, it appears that it is in a completely different format than the version of Ovation that streams on DirecTV Stream. It now matches Ovation's "Mystery Alley" format from their stand alone app, which has a completely different schedule and show list than the version on DirecTV.

Chief

No, the feed matches what is shown as airing in the website. As I previously mentioned, the guide data that Channels has—which is the same source as DirecTV—is wrong. The error is the guide data, not the stream.

I guess Ovation NOW is different, can anyone watch that stream on their website or in their app?

The stand alone app is showing shows not only at different times, but in a different order than the DirecTV version of the Ovation channel, that was my point. When you check the schedule at Ovation's website, the schedule I'm seeing matches what DirecTV is airing, not what is airing within Channels DVR.

The Ovation stand alone app airs shows that match what Channels DVR is showing, but not what DirecTV is showing. The channel logo in the bottom right corner of the screen is also different than what used to show before we lost the channel, and doesn't match the current channel logo on DirecTV, hence why I said the stream is completely different.

Are you able to find the old stream on their website or app? If not there's no way for us to add it.

Per Ovation website help-bot it looks like they are no longer supporting TVE. The only way to access their live stream is via a cable box or cable app. The only feed on their website is OvationNow which is free and only offers limited content and no feature films.
