Is it possible to “channel surf” using a channel up or channel down? That might be a handy feature, if it does not yet exist.

Not at the moment. You can add channels to your favorites and swipe down in the player to switch between them quickly.
Would also love this feature. What is the limitation on implementing this as a feature?
