Testing the IOS version a bit and I don’t see a Manage Navigation option under General.

Also, when in the sidebar menu would it be possible to automatically switch to the option selected rather than having to click it? Then the flow would be swipe left, navigate, and swipe right vs swipe left, navigate, click, and swipe right.

As always, amazing work! Question: Is the top bar customizable, or only the side? For example, nobody in our house watches sports, so it would be nice to be able to remove that tab.

The items are not customizable on iOS.

Awesome!
Couple of suggestions:

  • Can the side bar menu be automatically hidden until you hit the remote button? Similar to how the top menu bar worked previously?
  • Can you add an option to remove/hide the guide categories (HD, All Channels, Sports,Kidd,etc.)? You have to navigate to the left, then left again, just to get to the menu - having to cross over those categories each time. Not sure about anyone else but I almost never change my guide from all channels or just HD. It would be a much cleaner look and eliminate an extra tap to the left to get to the menu.
  • I agree with a few of the other posts that the recorded content section is still very confusing. I love the little box that I can select that immediately takes me to all recordings - that’s awesome!!! Everything else around it is confusing and cluttered and I’m not sure what all the different sections include with my recorded tv.

Definitely a huge update though! Thank you guys for the constant updates and improvements! Well done!

@maddox can I be added to the beta program again? It looks like I've been dropped out. I have test flight installed on my iPhone already. I will add it to an appletv that doesn't get used as much.

I do not have an Iphone or Ipad how do I get an invitation code ... I have installed testflight.

Some iOS feedback:

  • Swipe to delete! So glad to finally have this.

  • With the addition of that new ‘recordings’ button, which surfaces recordings more than ever, how about giving us a watch now option for shows that are currently being recorded? To clarify, I tap the new recordings button and it takes me straight to the list of recent recordings. If there is a show that is currently recording it is listed there at top, but with no option to watch it.

  • Lastly, merely as an FYI, start up time of the
    iOS beta app is much slower than the non-beta app.

One more comment:

I do like the purple quick access buttons, but would prefer them to be smarter. Meaning, if there are no Movies or Kids or TV Shows, don't show that particular button.

I don't know if this was reported but the up button no longer brings up the time-bar on Apple TV.

I like the progress you are doing on theming, I would like to see a bit less purple in the guide if possible.

Edit; Is there anyway we can have this brought to Android TV?

There should be a Watch button just like completed recordings. I’ll look into it.

Since the iOS app is getting the love, I'd like to throw out another ask, which is having search available on all tabs (settings probably doesn't need it, but all the others). If you don't won't to the impact the overall look, you could have it where you need to drag down to show the search box. I'm a big searcher :sunglasses:
