Is there a way to set up channels to be able to access a single folder such as movies with out giving access to my entire DVR. I have a Synology 920+ and have set up a shared folder with password. On a different network, can channels access just this folder?
There are no individual users/logins/permissions built into Channels. If you access Channels remotely, you will see the same content as you would locally.
Thanks, that is what I was thinking but wanted to be sure I hadn't missed something.
Are you concerned about security on your Synology? Or are you just trying to restrict what content another user sees?
