I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I run Channels on my Mac Mini, and use either Fire TV sticks, Android NVIDIA Shields, or my iPad to view TVE.
All of those devices crash when trying to view live TV. I can access my server config perfectly fine.
Anyone else with this issue ? Bad updates pushed out for the app?
Update: this is only on Android devices. iPad mini is fine. Fire sticks and NVIDIA Shields are not. Channel selection, black screen and nada.
are you in the beta program? there was a bad build pushed out last night and then supposedly fixed, but i still had all kinds of issues with the latest beta (even after they said it was fixed). i had to uninstall and grab the stable apk from apkpure to get everything working again...
I think I am. A simple uninstall and reinstall worked for you ?
Just tried a pull from the Play Store on a NVIDIA Shield and no dice.
you have to get it from somewhere that has the stable apk...if you're in the beta, the play store will always give you the beta so that won't work. there's no way to get the stable if you're in the beta other than download it from somewhere like apkpure.
I was able to bail on the beta for my phone, but I'm not sure how to do it on the NVIDIA. Stable build is working perfectly.
I had the same issue with a 4K Fire Stick, recording were fine but live channels would crash the app. Went back to the Amazon App Store and downloaded the stable version and things are back to normal for now.

I had to switch over to the stable release on my Fire TV, Android phones and NVIDIA stuff. Turns out it was the beta!
