Do you have plans to separate “Channels” channels listings from “SD” channels listing.

Currently, if I change SD’s channels listings lineup (favorite or “X” unavailable) the Channel’s listings follow suit within several days and thus Channels’ channels listings are changed on DVR accordingly.

I would like to see totally separation between the SD listings and the Channels listing…as in the hopefully “near” future I would like to be able to mark only the “DRM” channels as available in SD, while maintaining my full list of available/favorite channels wthin the Channels app.

My usage case is being able to utilize/view SD recording/rule selection on “ONLY” the DRM channels for possible SD recordings…while still being able to utilize Channels for all other recordings.

As SD has now “finally” provided DRM (live tv) playback on Android devices…indicating to me that they are almost ready to release DRM recording capability…can you please provide Channels’ intentions on above request.

As stated previously, I am willing to pay for both solutions (have 39 DRM channels)…but not being able to separate SD’s channel authorization from Channels’ channel authorization will be a huge burden once I start utilizing SD DRM recording.

Some of SD’s current limitations (padding, search, etc.) may be solved with the release of their new UI. Personally, I am not confident of this, however, once released/reworked, unless Channels’ solves the channel authorization the SD solution may become more appealing and I’ll have to take a hard look at Channels other advanced capabilities (edls for comm skip) in light of having to daily peruse two separate solutions to accomplish my goal for ease of capture of future recordings…both (DRM & non)…as there are many DRM channel broadcasts which I fervently want to record/archive.
