Channels Collections & Automatic Channels

I created a Channel Collection for sports and am only using "Automatic Channels". I have selected a number of tags (Sports Event being one) and have nothing in the "exclusion" or "keyword" fields, "content type" is set to "Everything".

I get many channels in the preview, however there are channels missing. the programs listed for the channels displayed have tags I selected, however other channels with programs displaying the same tags I selected are not in the preview.

As an example, FS1, FS2 & ESPN U do not show up at the moment even though the programs have "sports event" listed as a tag.

Does anyone know if this is a known issue or if I am configuring the collection incorrectly?

Any help would be appreciated.

This is what I have for my Live Sports collection:

Basically, going all out for anything with any type of relevant tag!

You've added "Sports event" as a genre, so the only channels that show will be channels with current airings with that Genre.

If you're looking to make a Sports collection, just choose "Sports" under Content Type.

If you want just actual live events, select the Live checkbox.

You also only vaguely mentioned what your Automatic Channel rules are.

"I have selected a number of tags (Sports Event being one)"

You would get more help if you simply posted a screenshot of what your Automatic Rules look like.

Thanks for the reply. I added a screenshot of my rule. I have looked through the entire content type list for the "sports" tag several times and I have not found it.

Oh and this is the version I am running

I just want to start off by saying thank you for everyone reading and replying to this post, I really appreciate the help and apologize if I misunderstand or misinterpret your questions and responses.

I have been trying to add "Sports" as a genre tag but haven't been able to find it, so apologies for misunderstanding your suggestion was to change the "Content Type" to sports.

When I select "Sports" as the Content Type, these are the channels in my preview

When I change the Content Type to "Everything" then I get channels with programs matching my genres. The issue I'm having is not all currently playing programs matching the same genre (lets say "sports non-event") are being displayed in the preview or when I sort by my channel collection.

Another thing I am seeing is that when I only select "Sports" as the content type and the genres and everything else is empty, I am only shown channels from my Pluto source, nothing from my DishTV source. So that means nothing from any of the ESPN or FS channels

I understand this is a weird situation thanks again for your help.

That is basically what I did as well, my issue is for some reason not all currently airing programs matching the genre tags are displayed. As an example SOME of the channels with a "Sports non-event" currently airing program will display, some won't.
For instance right now on ESPN "First Take" is airing and it has the "Sports non-event" genre tag, but if I select that genre tag it does not appear in my preview list.

if I add "Sports Talk" to the genre list, then it appears in the preview.

There's probably no sports on right now on those channels. It's the morning after all.

Automatic Channels doesn't pull in "Sports Channels". Channels don't have that kind of metadata.

It automatically presents any channel currently airing a program that matches your rules.

Ditch your genres and just stick to the Sports content type.

If you don't want Pluto channels showing up, add it to the excluded sources.

I totally get right now it is early and not much live sports. No argument. What I am trying to understand/solve is that even though multiple channels are airing programs with the same genre tag, not all of those programs are being listed.
Thanks!
