Hello,
All my devices cannot find the server any longer. I changed DVR folder locations and moved my vpn from the server to my router. Other apps hosted on same pc, like Plex, are working fine. From Server app, I noticed on Status page NET says 2 interfaces and on General page Bonjour says 1 network. I’ve turned vpn off but that didn’t help. UPnP is allowed on network as far as I can tell from router. I submitted logs from my Apple TV at 5:37 pm pacific.
Are your channels DVR server and the client in the same local network? If yes, then you may need to enter the IP of the server when the client asks for it. If not, then please describe your network.
Hello, I have tried several times to manually enter the IP address. Yes they are on the same WiFi network and have the same IP address until the last segment. I have a windows 10 pro PC hosting Channels DVR. And an Apple TV, iPad and iPhone with the client. All software is current. All on same WiFi. All “cannot find server at address”.
The pc was recently upgraded to Pro. And I went from a Ethernet connection between the Apple TV and PC to not having that. Also, as previously stated I moved VPN from PC to router but have tried turning it off all together and that didn’t fix the issue. I enabled Remote Desktop when I installed Pro but have tried turning that off too and it hasn’t fixed the issue. Did you receive the logs? I can send again.
It sounds like windows firewall is not open for your WiFi adapter. You can temporarily turn it off to test. If it is, open the port for channels
That worked. For some reason there are 2 entries for both Bonjour and Channels DVR. One of each was allowed and one was not. Is it normal to have 2 entries?
Probably. I'm not running on windows any more so I can't check. Opening both to your wireless network should be safe.
Ah. I just realized you’re not an admin. Thank you for taking the time to help me out.
My pleasure
Morris
