Channels DVR issues with JVC Android TV

I have Channels running on an old laptop so I can create virtual channels to stream all throughout my house. I have two Apple TVs and they work great, but then I purchased two new smaller JVC android TVs and the app is a bit buggy.

The channel logo I uploaded shows on the bottom right of the video on my Apple TVs just like how I have it set up on the server, but the android TV will not show the logo no matter how many times I try to restart or refresh the server and TV.

Another issue I’m running into is playback for some video files such as .265. On one show it’ll only play audio and no video with only a black screen when rolling directly into an episode of the show from another (like live tv) but then I’ll back out to the guide and reclick the episode, then it loads up just fine. The other show will be Green static covering the image with audio, but then when I back out and click again, it stretches the video.

examples:

Futurama (plays fine) -> The Office (Black screen with audio) back out to guide, reclick the office episode on guide (plays great)

South Park (plays fine) -> IASIP (green static on color image, but black bars on the side for the old 4:3 episodes is fine) back out to guide, reclick IASIP Episode (plays with original color, but is now stretched)

I’m assuming this issue is on the side of my Android TVs and not the server as the AppleTV clients work flawlessly. Has anyone else had these issues with Android TVs?

Yes and your best bet is to abandon the android TV OS embedded on your TV. I bought a top of the line sony and thought that it would be great to have in integrated Channels experience. Not so much. Not channels fault, TV os's are notriously buggy and WAY underpowered. Grab yourself another appletv and call it a day. You cant go wrong...
