Channels DVR remote access

I’m using Channels DVR on a WD PR4100 and the remote access is constantly disappearing/going offline. To restore access, I have to log into the PR4100 manually from in home, go to the Apps page and then hit “Configure”…at that point, at least for a bit, I can access the DVR web UI remotely. Give it some time, and it goes offline again. Is there some sort of setting I should have on to prevent this? Is it something I’m doing with my setup? Honestly not sure. I appreciate any insight! Thank you. Fantastic software oftherwise!

When you say it’s going offline, what is the exact behavior you’re observing?

When I try to visit my.dvrchannels.net from my phone, for example, while out of the house…the page cannot be loaded. It’s as though I’m trying to access an offline website. However, if I remote into another PC in the house, go to the NAS page and access Channels DVR from the “Configure” button, then suddenly, the webpage works again for my cell phone or work computer. As though I’ve somehow “woken up” the program. But my NAS is never really sleeping… and it’s certainly catching recordings… so it’s a bit weird.

That is strange. I would recommend switching from automatic to manual port forwarding to see if that helps
