I have 2 Apple TVs; one in kitchen and one in living room. They are setup the exact same. I recently have issues with connecting to the living room ATV “channels dvr server not found”. I’m trying to connect to the same server the kitchen ATV is connected to. I’ve tried most of the suggestions in various posts like rebooting router, delete/re-add app, etc, but nothing works. Submitted diagnostics yesterday but no reply. I have no idea what’s going on or what’s changed. Usually the ATV just automatically connects.
Do you have Bonjour turned on ?
yes bonjour is turned on. broadcasting on 4 networks. I can connect to the IP address via phone just fine at the 8089 port.

Did you try Connect at Home and enter the IP address of the server?
Maybe your server changed IP address (you should set it to use a DHCP reserved IP address).
Update: I couldn’t find anything wrong on setup so I factory reset ATV and everything is back to normal and functioning fine.
