Channels DVR Server on Synology NAS And Nvidia Shield - Possible?

Hi,

I'd like to run two instances of the Channels DVR Server. I was wondering if I can have the main instance on a Synology NAS and a second instance on a Nvidia Shield. I'd like to output the Nvidia Shield Channels DVR m3u and xml to be imported into the main Synology Channels DVR.

Is this possible?

Yes

This is my Synology ... m3u and XML from my UBUNTU server.

This is possible. But, I believe it would take two licenses. Maybe not, I don't know. But, I am curious why you would stack Channels DVRs?

License is only for remote access and main DVR.... no license needed for 2nd or more DVR's. I use the M3U and XML from my main DVR because I do not want to hammer the Guide servers... Only need 1 DVR to download it.

My main DVR is for daily use Prime Time TV Recording and watching ... the other DVR records movies full series etc...

Thanks. Good information I stack a Jellyfin server in front of my main Channels DVR so I can access my content using a Roku TV. I love the fact that the community (including the developers) encourages unorthodox and inventive uses for the product.
