Channels DVR thinks its sharing with 2 clients w/PVRLive

Using Android TV Live Channels w/PVR Live, watching any source, Channels thinks it's sharing with 2 clients when only 1 client active.
If I submit diags, can you give me any info on what Channels thinks is happening?

This is off topic to your issue, but I just have to ask. I used to use this setup but abandoned it when I realized I would never be able to access the recordings from another client. Have you found a way to share the recordings with multiple clients?

If I understand your question correctly....one of the PVRLive options is to set the DVR to record to a network location which can then be shared between multiple Live Channels/PVRLIve clients. I haven't given any thought/work on trying to import existing recordings.

In case you can help me understand what is happening, I submitted logs

The user log shows...

Seems like it makes a second connection for a few seconds, maybe to probe the stream or something. You can see it more clearly with http logging enabled.

2.7s request up front, along side the regular 57m request for the stream being watched.

Thanks for taking the time.....hadn't thought about HTTP logging, will file that away for future reference.
Eliminates a worry that there were really two streams continuously active.

Resurrecting a bit of an old thread, but hoping I could get some more information on this.

I have been troubleshooting issues with recordings failing and streams not starting because I had reached my stream limit, even though I was under my limit of 2 streams from my IPTV provider. Today, I was able to see that two streams were being created when the stream was started, and stumbled across this thread.

My assumption with having 2 streams from the IPTV provider was that I would be able to record and watch a live stream simultaneously, but since Channels DVR adds an additional stream when a stream is started, 2 likely isn’t enough. Is the recommendation for those who are wanting to record one stream and watch another to use a provider with at least a 4 stream limit, or is there a setting that can be changed in Channels DVR to prevent this second redundant stream from being created?

Enable Settings > Playback > Advanced > Tuner Sharing: On

I will make this change, but just to clarify, my intention isn't to watch what is being recorded by Channels DVR, it is to watch something different, which doesn't sound like something Tuner Sharing would resolve. The issue is with what was reported initially and that Channels DVR makes a second connection for a few seconds when the stream is started, which puts me over the limit of two.

My understanding is that I should be able to do the following:
Stream 1: Recording Show X
Stream 2: Watching Show Y

Instead, anytime I begin to watch Show Y (or if Show X begins recording while I am watching Show Y), I get issues with streams failing because of the fact that there appears to be a period of time where two connections / streams are made when a stream is first watched.

I've been using Channels DVR for a few years now and this is the first time I've heard somebody mention a stream limit from an IPTV provider within Channels.

So I have to ask the question: what is the name of this IPTV provider?

It seems to me that you need to use a better provider.
