Channels DVR wont start after drive failure

I have a mac mini that had a system drive failure. I cloned my drive with Carbon Copy. I had to disconnect my DVR drive to run CC to a new drive. Once booting back up and connecting my DVR drive the Channels DVR service does not start, nor can I hit the service from the web browser. If I try and manually start it I'm getting some type of error.

There is nothing in the latest folder, so I'm having to run from a previous version

If I try to reinstall Channels DVR I get...

Starting Installer...
Fetching latest version number...
Channels DVR is already installed! All done.

Use the installer from our website to reinstall

Yes, when I run that installer I get this message:

Starting Installer...
Fetching latest version number...
Channels DVR is already installed! All done.

Ok, I ended up deleting the latest folder from within channels-dvr install location. Then I was able to successfully run the installer.

Up and running now!

"folder"? I assume you mean that you thought latest was a directory instead of a symlink? Or you were missing the actual version that the symlink was pointing to.

On mac and windows its not a symlink. Only linux uses symlinks.

must be something special about that directory then that caused his cloning software to skip it.
