Channels issues with appletv on 16.6

Been having a really hard time trying to get our AppleTVs to connect and work the way they were - yesterday?

Started with updating the homekit on our homepod minis in the bedroom - couldn;t set them as default audio output, as they’d been for a while. In trying to solve that, I updated the AppleTV to 16.6. While checking, I saw the mac minis wanted to update to 13.5 - so, did that too -

Net result - the AppleTV in the bedroom would not connect to the server, no matter what I tried -

So today, I did a complete reset and reinstall on the AppleTV in the bedroom, while using the one in the living room - which was working great. At least, until I decided to update it to 16.6 - after whicb, it could not find the server. And the re-installed tvOS 16.6, still couldn’t connect to the server - although it had the address memorized -

At the suggestion of my wife, we tried connecting “Away from home” via QR code - and we are now connected to the server on both TVs! - we’ll hope this continues for a day or two -

Still dealing with the stuttering audio, and also that if you turn off the AppleTV too quickly with a Channels recording paused, the TV shuts off, but then the audio continues playing throigh the homepods - which requires starting everything back up again, carefully reopening the recording, then stopping it and exiting out of the Channels app before shutting the AppleTV down. But, other than that . . .

Suggestions?
