Channels Library Advanced Sort Feature

I would like Channels to provide a library sort feature for the great variety and numerous movies I have recorded on the Channels DVR, ie; genre, ratings, kids, action, drama and comedy. I have grown a substantial library movie and TV shows and I am thankful they sorted alphabetically as Channels does so well but want more. BTW the commercial advance works weel on everything except those programs where they are embedded with presentation breaks.

I'm a happy user of Channels on a WD MyCloud PR4100 NAS (WD Red 12TB/Raid5). It is rock solid and stable since 2017 with Plex which I abandoned for Channels HDHD via Spectrum distributed via FireTV 4Ksticks on 6 TVs, and added an AppleTV box as an expensive trial test (talk about bloatware before getting to Channels; its not my go to device). are

I manage the NAS and Channels App easily and routinely sync via secured home network from my laptop. I routinely sync HDHR and Spectrum sources. My network and IoT security is provided by a Bitdefender BitBox and WiFi is though ASUS ZenWiFi AX mesh routers. This system configuration clocks 100+mbps data transfer from the NAS to one or more Fire Sticks. I can watch/record up to 3 shows simultaneously. I'm careful to not over-schedule the NAS.

Have you turned on Enhanced Library Browsing?

It gives many more options and is more suitable for larger libraries.

You should also try Library Collections:

I put custom labels on all our movies/shows and then have rules set up that put the movies/shows in those Collections. So much better now! It's also a good backdoor way to create multiple user groups.
