I'm trying to understand the difference in the $24.95 Channels Live TV app and the Channels Whole Home DVR app. I've installed the Channels DVR to my windows system and installed the Channels Whole Home DVR app on my android phone and am trying a trial sub to see if I like it. Why would I need the other app for $24.95 for?
If you did not have the DVR, but just wanted an app to view live TV from a HDHomeRun tuner, then the paid app is what you would need. The free app will not work without a DVR subscription.
