Channels made my life easier after Hurricane Maria

I am still without Internet and cable TV at home, after going through a direct hit by Hurricane Maria here in Puerto Rico. Have been running of a small home use generator and even so I had my Plex server and media locally, I could not authenticate without Internet access. I ended up watching several TV shows that I had recorded with Channels and this was my main entertainment for some time.

Question, would it be possible to cache the meta data on recorded shows, I kept looking at empty images and had select each recoding to find out which one it is?

I have utility power now, but the whole electrical grid is still very unstable and I keep losing power constantly. Thanks god to AT&T that they are not charging data overage use until the end of this month and I have had decent LTE service for about 5 days. As I am composing this post, I keep losing Internet service again :frowning:

Glad Channels is working for you!

We might be able to cache images- I’ll make a note to investigate. It’s tricky because our guide provider imposes a lot of rules about how long images can be stored.

Thanks for at least looking into it. Not sure how caching meta data while no Internet connection is available would cause any harm, since if they are outdated I wouldn’t get new meta data anyway.
