Channels not picking all available tuners

I have the HDHomerun Quatro and the 2 channel HDHomerun extend in addition to Locast. When Channels DVR is recording two shows for some odd reason Channels DVR is stuck on recording on the extend and when I try to view another channel it states NO TUNERS AVAILABLE and clearly there are 5 available ones. It does attempt to use the available tunes.

Does it happen if you change the extend transcoding to none

I will try that and let you know the results. I am not sure why I set it to heavy.

So here is what I did.

Just to recap on my configuration: I have the following:
HDHomerun Extend (2 channels available)
HDHOMERun Quattro (4 channels available)
and Locast

I tried to record 4 shows but get the following error (ALL TUNERS IN USE).
2 were in use on the Extend.

But the others are not even used but available!

Your Quatro is failing to tune. You can try restarting it but you may need to email [email protected] about 1072FCD3

Restarting the Quatro seemed to fix the issue. Is this something I should do on a regular basis?

I do have the latest firmware.

806 is some kind of hardware error message. We don't know much about it.

Understood. Thank you very much for your help.

The 800 errors are enumerated here: https://info.hdhomerun.com/info/http_api#errors

Thanks for the info. I did look up the error code but I am not sure why it was unable to tune to the channel. Maybe my QUATTRO is failing from a hardware level. Not sure.
