I have Channels DVR set up on a Windows 10 pc and an Apple TV 4K.
For the most part it all works well, but on my 2nd Apple TV 4K, (I have 2) it sometimes doesn’t see the dvr.
Exiting and launching the app usually cures this but tonight it refuses to connect.
I know it’s recording as I can access on my IPad and can access all recordings too.
What can cause this?
Hmm, this could indicate a bad wifi/network connection on that particular TV.
I’ll send you a beta to install on that ATV and try. If it doesn’t find the DVR, go to the bottom of the Settings tab and click Submit Diagnostics.

Now both ATV show no recordings, and no dvr access. Shows the dvr and recordings tabs though and I still have full access on my pc and iPad.
The email goes out immediately. Did you check your spam folder?
On your PC, open the DVR web ui and try uncheck and rechecking the Bonjour checkbox.
I did, no email.
I did update through the web ui and now it’s working.
2017.12.31.0725 is what I’m on now. Had to launch, close app and reopen to get it though.
