Channels Nvidia Shield DVR Backup

I’ve been using the Channels Nvidia Shield DVR setup with a 1 TB USB3 attached to the unit. This is my first dive into the Android world, all Apple to date. (Hold the arrows).

With my catalog of Recorded TV shows growing, I’m wondering how to prepare for the eventual demise of the USB.

Is there some simple, safe way to backup the folder/Share from the USB to a NAS for safe keeping?

If not currently available, is it a feature that the developers can/would include in a future DVR release?

You can use your preferred backup software to make a copy of the DVR folder, which includes all your recordings as well as your database backups.

How/where does one ‘find’ the drive while on a Mac.
