Channels recording old episode via TV everywhere and 1 other problem

Can anyone explain why the Channels DVR and the YTTV recording of "Below Deck Mediterranean" are out of sync? The Channels DVR is recording an episode from the TV Everywhere feed which is from 1 week ago - meanwhile the YTTV recording is up to date - not sure if this is an error or is it the practice of Bravo to delay the TV Everywhere feed by 1 week - Cartoon Network (Rick and Morty) appears to be in sync. (I am new to YTTV and TV Everywhere - just switched from Frontier Cable)

Also, I am experiencing extremely long delays when trying to play some recordings - any insight on this?

Do you have the pass set up to record only new episodes, or all? Channels uses the live channel.. so it will record new episodes exactly when they air. It shouldn’t be any different than YTTv. However, YTTv also has on demand content, so I’m wondering if that is why things appear to be different between them.

As far as playing recordings.. how long is it taking? Can you give us an idea of how many seconds? What do you have the quality set to in the client?

Well, the guide in Channels DVR indicated season 6 episode 2, while the YTTV guide had episode 3 - not sure why they are different - my wife said she had already seen the episode that was recording in Channels, which started my investigation - everything else that we are recording from TVE seems to be correct

The delay that I am seeing is occurring intermittently on playback of recordings both from the HDHR Quatro and TVE - this morning it took over 60 seconds before a recording of Today started playing and tonight, there was a similar delay playing Rick and Morty from TVE - I just updated to the latest beta version so I'll see if the problem goes away

Check the guide on zap2it.com

Zap2it and the Channels guide are in agreement, however, YTTV has episodes available 1 week earlier, strange

The episodes are available a week early on-demand via Peacock and other providers.

That is a common problem on broadcast TV. Shows are marked as New if it is the first showing. However some shows don't get the NEW marking so they get recorded every time they are shown unless it is in your saved recordings. An exampl is Chicago Med. Even though the season is over every time it is broadcast, it will be recorded as for some reason they do not use the NEW marking.

With a multi-source setup, is there a way to select which channel to base recordings within the client side(in my case Fire Stick) without going into the DVR server to make the selection from "ANY" to the preferred recording channel?

No. Changes beyond new/all, number of episodes to keep, and padding must be made from the DVR's web UI.

Thanks!
