Channels returns 403 forbidden error some channel in Vidgo

Last Friday I noticed that when I tried to access Fox News via Vidgo TVE thru Channels DVR, I received the 403 forbidden error. I notified Vidgo. They then notified me the problem was escalated. A couple of days latter they sent another email and suggested their DVR would be available next week. Obviously not the answer I wanted.
Anyway, I have been using Vidgo as a source for about 3 months. Most of the time I can access all their TVE channels. But now, for the 3rd time in 3 months Channels DVR is having trouble accessing some of Vidgo's channels. What I see is that sometimes, in the Channels Settings page when I scan all Vidgo channels it fines all 138 (all of them); other times if might find 90 or 82 or some other number of channels. It seems to be a problem that cycles and that more often than not the scan is not allowed to connect to multiple Vidgo channels.

I am running Channels DVR on a Raspberry Pi 4B with 1TB SSD. Rebooting the Pi doesn't fix the issue.

I submitted an email report on this the Channels Support yesterday but haven't heard anything yet.

So frustrating. :frowning:

Does it work on fox.com/live ?

If I use the Vidgo App I can access Fox News. The Fox News app doesn't accept Vidgo as a provider so I can't use the Fox App. The problem isn't restricted to the Fox Channels on Vidgo. When ChannelsDVR Rescans the Vidgo source each time it seems to find a different number of channels - varying from as low as 82 to as high as 138. This morning, I deleted the Vidgo source, rebooted the Channels server, then readded the Vidgo source. The initial scan found 136 channels (should be 138). A rescan an hour later, 134 channels were found.

On the Channels Setings page, when I go to deleted then readded Vidgo and did an immediate rescan to get channel line up results which showed 4 channels that currently report "Cable provider authentication failed". Those channels are Discovery-Life, Investigation-Discovery, Travel, & HGTV.

Instead of doing a full rescan, have you tried individually rescanning the missed channels?

Yes, I have tried rescanning individual channels and get the same result. A couple of times, while watching Fox News, I rescanned the FNC channel and gotten an error. I then, in the app, changed channels and came back to FNC and received the playback error.

Can you login with Vidgo and watch on this website: https://fox.com/live

I'm not asking about the Fox app or the FNC app.

Vidgo isn't listed as a provider on https://fox.com/live. When I select the "other" option I get taken to a page labed "AcenTek". My vidgo login credentials don't work there.

Shows up for me

Fox Vidgo screnn shot
I get No Results Found

I've been checking the number of Vidgo channels frequently this morning. It's been stable at 134 out of 138 it should be. It just dropped to 133 and when I checked, FNC was the one it dropped.

The Vidgo channels have been stable since noon. It looks like whatever the problem was, it's been resolved. Thanks for your help.
