@eric aside from my other question, does the cdvr team ever intend to provide the same capability for MPEG-TS sources that is provided for HLS sources?
bump...
Yes it is intended that it would work the same way with both MPEGTS and HLS. But we don't have an ETA for a fix.
Thanks for the reply. I saw the beta updates for the most recent changes to the server and iOS apps. I'll give it another test and see how it looks.
@tmm1 I've been on the beta since day one, and things have been working much better when two users watch the same channel, especially with the beta updates that have been pushed over the last 30 days or so. Thank you!
@tmm1 had three people, two on LAN and one on WAN, watching the same channel for four hours yesterday, with zero issues! All of us were using Apple TVs running the Channels DVR Beta app, too.
Strangely, nothing has changed in the way the DVR handles stream sharing in months, so this hasn't been a change on our side.
Not sure. It's been extremely stable. Maybe the update below helped?
tvOS/iOS Beta Notes
v2026.07.16.2132
• IMPROVED: handling of remote streaming caches
Nope, that improved the behavior of Remote Streaming when running out of disk space on client devices.
Not sure then. It's been smooth.
