Channels Troubleshooting results -ad servers

Wondering why when Channels DVR does its self test it tries to contact known ad servers such as double-click and adroll?

My firewall blocks these. I hesitate to open these up because then all my computers could connect to those sites.

Is this a real issue for Channels?

I am still curious as to why Channels is connecting to all these ad servers and trackers. I think it should be clearly explained as to why.

We have seen video served from those domains and issues when they are blocked.

If it's working for you then don't worry about it.

TVE has to connect to many things, for auth and severing content, which includes ad/authentication/analytics servers.

I have seen many addresses that my Ad GuardHome DNS server block lists detect and block, which has cause TVE auth failure or extended delays in tuning TVE stations. Also can cause sudden disconnect while streaming/recording TVE stations if a ad/analytics/geolocation server is blocked that it needs. (the same thing can be seen when you stream the station from the networks website.
