Channels will connect to one TV, but not the other on same network

I have been having a problem lately where the TV in my living room will not connect to my server, but the one in my bedroom will. Whenever I open it up in the living room, it gets stuck on the screen telling me to set up my server, which is already set up. Both devices are identical Google TV Chromecasts. I have tried force-stopping it and then reopening the app, clearing cache and data, and resetting my server. All have the same result. The only thing that seems to work is booting up via the away from hope option on the setup screen, but then it will go back to the setup screen t after a day.

Any advice to straighten this out? It is very annoying. I'm running my server on an M1 Mac Mini if that makes any difference at all.

Does swapping the locations of the two devices make a difference?

Okay so now the previous Living Room device (now in the Bedroom) is connected, but the previous Bedroom device (now in the Living Room) is not. Could this have something to do with a mesh router? It's also confusing since both were working fine up until a couple weeks ago.

I just unplugged the Orbi hub I have in my Living Room and both seem to be working now. So that was probably it. I'll keep troubleshooting. Thanks for your help.

These mesh routers are something else. Sometimes it feels like they're optimized to load facebook feeds anywhere in the house and that's it. They seem to always wreck real networking, and their speeds are just NOT great.

Wireless backhaul is convent yet not as good as wired. Before wiring, take a look at see if Orbi provides configuration options related to mesh. If you wire, expect much better throughput and reliability. My experience is with Asus mesh and corporate WiFi so I don't know if you have configuration options. Wired is always better.
