Channels won't recognize change in tvg-name

I changed the tvg-name value in my m3u editor. When I pull the m3u with the URL from my editor, tvg-name is correct.

When I reload the m3u in Channels, it still has the old value. I can't get it to update. What could be causing this?

Two things to keep in mind.

  1. When you change something upstream in a source, or a source setting, recreate the source using a slightly different name and delete the old one (I call this sticking cruft). Some things stick around and don't change.
  2. After changing anything related to a source, delete and recreate the guide database.

This shouldn't be necessary. Sounds like a workaround.

Actually, both things I mentioned are workarounds for problems that have existed for awhile in Channels DVR.
