Channels won't update to new version

I installed Channels on one Mac Mini to test it out and was working fine, so I decided to install it on another Mac Mini, the one I intend to use it on. True, this newer Mac is older and has an older OS on it (I asked about all that here The older Mac Mini, that I want to use is running 10.11.6, El Capitan and has a 2.53 Ghz Intel Core Duo and 8GB memory.

I used the install file I got from the Channels website last week. It's at Version 2019.09.23.2227. The version on the other Mac, that I tested Channels on, is Version 2019.10.24.0245. The big difference, that I noticed immediately, is that the newer version will tell me why a recording failed on the DVR page.

On the newer install (the less powerful Mac, but the box I want to use as my DVR), I clicked "Check for update," and it tells me, " Up to date!"

What can I do to get this new install to update to the newer version of Channels?

Shift+Click the update button to check for pre-releases. The version from Sept (2019.09.23.2227) is the current stable release version.
