Chrome failed to start: when adding Xfinity as a TVe Source

image

I am able to log into Xfinity directly in the same browser but when I try in Channels Admin I get the error above. I tried searching but most other versions of this error come with other details.

I restarted the computer, updated to the latest pre-release and tried both Chrome and Edge. Anyone else have this issue or any ideas on how to fix it?

Unfortunately the logs are not much help either.

Click on the Support icon on the top of the admin page, then Troubleshooting. It should check your chrome install and fix any corruption that it may find.

I did not know about that very cool.

Giving it a try.

Not sure what the next steps are here. I update Chrome and then Reinstalled it entirely and neither fixed the issue. I don't know where to start on the DNS I am using the default DNS servers from my ISP. I Could try swapping to Google or another service.

DNS
Could not reach whois server: 204.228.159.26: whois: connect to whois server failed: dial tcp 198.60.22.14:4321: connectex: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

Do you have any third party Anti-virus or anti-malware software installed on the system?
If so, remove them.

Just Windows Defender (Or whatever it is called now)

Are you using a cloud dns provider?

The latest pre-release will quiet that DNS error.
