Client logs/diagnosis

On playback, some recordings spontaneously go into fast forward (or higher speed playback) and I cannot just rewind and replay to correct the issue. It is erratic.

What diagnostics can I capture (and how do I capture them) to help diagnose the issue on Android TV (Shield and Chromecast with Google TV)?

Where are the recordings from? If you play the recorded mpg files in VLC on your computer, do the play back okay?

These are from OTA HDHomeRun sources. I will check VLC -- good idea.
