I have Apple TV 4K, using HD Homerun Prime. When I view certain channels in the Apple TV channels app the closed captions don’t show the correct words. It is just a bunch of garbled together letters or symbols. It happens on HBO and Showtime mainly. The weird thing is if I go into Plex and watch the same channel live the closed captions are there perfect. I would much rather use the awesome channelsdvr and app but if the closed captions can’t get working this is a no go. It has been like this ever since I tried it out a for a few months, I was hoping for a fix but nothing so far. Thanks for any help.
We can only fix issues that people report to us 
Please capture a raw tuner sample from one of those channels and email to [email protected]
Say your tuner is 10.0.0.5 and an example channel is 745, visit this URL in Chrome to download a 30s sample:

Channels 3.1.9 is available on the App Store today with a fix for this issue.

Man you are awesome, it works perfectly. I tested HBO, Showtime, etc. all channels have perfect closed captions now. Not sure what it was but the update worked perfect.
