Looking to see if anyone in the Minneapolis area uses an HDHomeRun with Comcast service and can tell me what channels are protected or DRMed on a basic scan? Thanks in advance.
Generally Xfinity will only apply DRM to HBO, Showtime, etc.
That’s great news. I wanted to make sure before I picked up a HDHR on eBay. I contacted their support and they stated they don’t support cable card devices and in general they didn’t understand protected or drm channels, saying the only equipment that works on their network is X1 boxes. I called BS on that.
Yea most of the reps don't have any idea what they're talking about. If you have trouble, tell them you have TiVo and they will understand what to do.
