Commercial detection failed... exit status 1 ? I noticed this on a few recordings in TVE channels? It didn't detect an commercials. Is that what exit status 1 means?

Most likely.
If you view/grep the comskip log for 'Total commercial length'
it will tell you if it found any commercials.
This line is almost at the end of the log file.
example: Total commercial length: 0:03:40.60
