Commercial Detection fails on some Weather Channel Shows

This is probably a semi-edge case because it involves the Weather Channel, which as far as I am aware is only available via the Frndly docker solution via Custom Channels. So it is not really supported by Channels per-sa, but maybe could be "interesting" for the devs. So I am not making a big deal about it. Other shows recorded from Frndly source channels appear to work fine, so I think this is being caused by the bottom crawl. Anyway, submitted diags after a redetect that failed on a Weather Gone Viral which always seems to have failed detections. Maybe figuring out an issue with an edge case can help improve more mainstream issues.

Are you stating that there is a "ticker" that consistently runs during the program, both while content and advertisements are played? If so, that is one way that networks use to defeat commercial detection algorithms; and there is nothing the developers can use to fix it.

Well, I will be darned... that is exactly what is happening. Ticker is running through the commercials. I thought it might just be the ticker was preventing logo detection. Didn't notice it was nonstop. Ok... thanks for the info. Makes sense.
