Commercial detection on imported shows

Hello. I imported a bunch of movies / tv shows recorded elsewhere. The commercial detection did not run on import. I can manually "redetect commercials".. but it seems to be per show. Is there any way to run it on the whole folder?

No. Commercial detection is run after a recording finishes. If a file is not a recording, it is not marked for detection, unless specifically requested.

(The concept is that Local Content added into Channels has already been trimmed.)

There are batch tools to help with this. Under DVR > Manage or by just browsing a show, you can check the boxes of the items listed. There’s an actions drop down that lets you do things to the selected items. One of the actions is Redetect Commercials.
