New users and just wanted to say that I'm finding the Commercial Editor to be very easy to use, and needed as there is always a bit of fine tuning needed.
The generated EDL files are also nice, as it help to cut the commercials and adjust the captions with ffmpeg scripts (for export to my PLEX Server with Roku)

The only thing I don't understand is the need for the Raspberry Pi image. I used this first and after struggling with it as it makes access to the Pi limited I starred over with the Linux installation and woking much better.
Also would like a Roku App, but after reading the threads I understand that its not coming anytime soon, however, the Google Play App in my Sony TV is excellent.

The Pi image is for those that want to use a Pi, but aren’t versed in Linux. It allows people to make the pi more of an Appliance as they don’t have to use the command line or anything.

It’s limited on purpose, and if you have more needs from it, then yes, managing Channels DVR Server yourself on the pi is the correct approach.

It’s used by a lot of fans and has a place in the ecosystem.
